The 2021 edition of the report on Statistical Indicators of Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization (SDG Report) provides an analysis of global progress towards inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) in the frame of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The report is primarily based on the six SDG-9 indicators related to industrialization, for which UNIDO is designated as a custodian agency, showing the patterns of the recent changes in different country groups.
Looking at the latest available data, two and a half years after the onset of COVID-19, how did industrial sectors fare during the pandemic? Which regions and industries were most impacted, and which ones emerged stronger? Which of the ongoing industrial megatrends accelerated? What new trends are arising in the post-pandemic industrial landscape? These and other questions are answered in this 28th edition of the International Yearbook of Industrial Statistics, UNIDO’s main statistical publication.
